Applying for an Samy's Camera Credit Card is fast and easy. The application is subject to approval by Synchrony Bank. If approved, we'll automatically add your Samy's Camera Credit Card to your account at checkout. You will receive your Samy's Camera Credit Card in the mail within 7-10 business days after applying.

The Fujifilm X-M5 is a compact rangefinder-style body built around a 26.1MP APS-C X-Trans 4 CMOS sensor and the X-Processor 5 engine. At 12.5 ounces without a lens, it travels easily with a small prime attached, and it carries the color rendering Fujifilm is known for. Stills shooters get 20 Film Simulation modes and 425-point autofocus with AI-based subject detection. Video shooters get 6.2K capture at 29.97 fps recorded internally in 10-bit, three built-in microphones, and an articulating touchscreen.
Fujifilm designed this body for people who shoot stills and video in one session without carrying two systems. The X-Trans 4 sensor measures 23.5 x 15.6mm, so field of view and depth of field behave the way they do across the APS-C format. The X-Processor 5 handles the autofocus math, the subject detection, and the 10-bit video pipeline. The 20 Film Simulation modes are color profiles Fujifilm built from its own film stocks, and the camera applies the profile as it writes the file rather than leaving it as a step you handle afterward. Classic Chrome gives you muted, documentary-style tones. Provia holds a neutral baseline for portrait and product work. Astia lifts saturation gently for skin and fabric. Because the look is applied at capture, a JPEG or a video clip can go straight from the card to a client or a feed. Built-in skin smoothing gives faces a softer rendering without a separate editing pass.
Video tops out at 6.2K at 29.97 fps with 10-bit internal recording, with DCI 4K, standard 4K, and Full HD slow motion below it. Three microphones are built into the top plate, and four recording modes decide what they emphasize: Surround, Front Priority, Back Priority, and Front and Back Priority. That yields a usable scratch track, or a finished one for interviews and talking-head work. A 3.5mm input accepts external microphones when you want a dedicated capsule on the subject. Square and vertical capture formats are available in camera for footage headed to social platforms.
The top plate carries dials for shooting mode, Film Simulation, and settings adjustment, so changing a color profile happens with a thumb instead of a menu dive. The 3.0 inch LCD is a touchscreen and it articulates, which covers self-recording along with low and overhead angles. A compact prime keeps the whole package one-hand operable.

Plan your media accordingly and use a card rated for sustained high-bitrate writing rather than one you keep around for stills. All four modes use the same three built-in microphones and change which direction the camera emphasizes. Surround captures the room evenly. Front Priority favors what is in front of the lens, which suits an interview subject. Back Priority favors the operator side for narration while you film something else. Front and Back Priority keeps both the subject and the person behind the camera in the mix. For a cleaner voice track, wired lavalier mics plug into the 3.5mm input.
The body takes Fujifilm X-mount lenses. A compact 23mm or 35mm prime keeps the kit small for travel and street work, a standard zoom handles event coverage, and a short telephoto gives you working distance for portraits. Because the sensor is APS-C, the field of view is tighter than a full-frame equivalent focal length suggests.
The standard stills range runs from ISO 160 to 12,800, with expanded settings reaching down to 80 and up to 51,200. Video runs from ISO 125 to 12,800 with expansion to 25,600. The expanded values earn their keep at the edges, ISO 80 for shooting wide open in bright light and the high end for dim interiors.
