We Visited the Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve and OMG...it was AMAZING!

For a long while, California was experiencing a pretty serious drought.According to the Los Angeles Times, signs of severe drought began on January 28, 2014. As far as just how bad the drought was, let's just say 2016 was not a great year. [caption id="attachment_4205" align="aligncenter" width="640"] Just know that red means bad. That deep red means super bad.[/caption] This alarming record-setting trend began to subside when the Golden State, starting in late 2016, finally saw signs of a West-Coast winter: rain. And, lots of it. [caption id="attachment_4207" align="aligncenter" width="600"] Source: http://www.bravotv.com/[/caption] The proper definition of a super bloom, as stated by National Geographic, is "a colloquial term used to define an explosion of wildflowers that exceeds typical spring blooms." A super bloom for locals is a sign to grab a camera and get outside. We decided to do just that (we being our social media specialist and one of our Los Angeles Sales Pros). The destination: The Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve. [caption id="attachment_4199" align="aligncenter" width="640"] Credit: Ian Santer[/caption] The adventure began by finding a good spot on the side of the road to park. Knowing that what we initially saw (pictured above) was just the beginning, and the fact that we brought some impressive gear to test, it was clear that an Instagram story was necessary.                                         After a nice long walk and several hours of fresh air, we got what we came for: some pretty cool shots. Here are just a few shots of the incredibly gorgeous Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve.
