Really Right Stuff’s TVC-24L Versa Mk2 is for the photographer that needs that extra bit of height while still maintaining the rigidity and flexibility that Really Right Stuff is known for. This “long” version of the TVC-24 Mk2 adds 16 inches of maximum height (up to 66.4”) while still supporting up to 40 lbs. of equipment at that level. This added height does not come at the cost of minimum height, as the TVC-24L can still drop down to 4.1” for low-angle photography.
Even when set to its lowest position, the unique teardrop shape of the TVC-24L’s feet prevent the legs from touching the ground, reducing wear and tear on your equipment. The feet are rubber by default to prevent damaging interiors but can be swapped out for all-terrain spikes quickly and easily.
The legs themselves are attached to the tripod collar by an offset leg joint made of anodized aluminum and feature a ratcheting angle stop to quickly adjust to any of the “standard” positions. Quarter turn twist locks make it easy to lock and unlock each leg section, and their vented clevis design allows them to collapse more quickly without any pressure buildup. Extra height does not come with extra bulk, as the entire tripod folds up into a 23” long package that weighs only 3.7 pounds, making the TVC-24L just as portable as the TVC-24 or other smaller tripods.
