In addition to new umbrellas, Elinchrom has also introduced compatible diffusers and reflectors that add a second level of functionality for a fraction of the cost. The optional Elinchrom Translucent Diffuser for Deep Umbrella (49 In.) delivers the lighting effect of a direct or indirect softbox depending on which umbrella is used. The Translucent Diffuser can be used with the Umbrella Deep 125 cm silver, white and translucent. Used with the silver-interior Deep Umbrella results in mildly crisp but soft light with a slightly cool color rendition. The umbrella with a white interior yields softer light with a neutral to warm color quality, while use with the translucent umbrella casts light in all directions like a large light dome.

Can be used with the Umbrella Deep 125 cm silver, white and translucent
The umbrella is transformed into a “fold-up” softbox
