It is more than a softbox, it is a Light Shaping Tool. The larger the light source is in relation to the subject, the softer the light will be. This simple fact is perhaps the most important lesson to learn about light. It is also the main reason why our rectangular softboxes come in so many sizes. With five sizes to choose from, you are guaranteed to always find the right tool for the job. This Profoto Flat Front Diffuser for RFi Softbox (4 x 6 ft) is used to create softer light for the object. It can also be used as a neutral density filter to lower the output or to create an even softer and wider light spread. The front diffuser is installed in front of RFi softbox to hide the lower-level diffuser for clean flat look that will hide hotspots. This setup reduces the output slightly and renders smooth highlights in reflective objects. The Flat Diffuser can be used in combination with the interior baffle and recessed front diffuser.
