Web Pricing - Why are the prices on this web site different from those in your stores?
Our stores are staffed with a wide variety of product specialists and support staff, each of whom make an effort to be responsive and pleasant to deal with. We're also able to provide a customer with any item from our inventory to inspect and test. The cost of this customer service is an increased overhead for our in-store prices, to pay for the store space, the training of our employees, and other considerations not present online. We're happy to offer reduced prices online and hope that you will be satisfied with your purchase no matter where you decide to buy.
The PocketWizard Receiver Module for Select Bowens Monolights is a 340-354 MHz (FCC/US) radio module that allows certain Bowens monolights to be wirelessly triggered by a PocketWizard radio. It fits into a slot on the side of the monolight and works with an antenna to receive signals from any PocketWizard radio. It can receive all 32 channels and 4 zones. These are initiated within 10 seconds of light start up. The module is also powered by the light for worry-free use and it works with select Sekonic light meters for a simple wireless metering solution.
These days, unreliable sync cords are a distant memory for most photographers. Now you can also forget bulky radio receivers attached to your lights! Thanks to the unique radio-card facility on the Gemini R-series or Pro-series monolights, by simply plugging a PocketWizard BowensGEM Receiver Module into the slot on the back, these Gemini lights instantly synchronize with the PocketWizard radio trigger system (USA versions only). Because the radio receiver card is an integral part of the unit, the system is much more reliable than others that use an external receiver, which is limited by its corded connection. Just insert this BowensGEM Module into the slot on the back of a Gemini monolight, then fit the included antenna into its own socket on the side of the housing, and now a Gemini can now receive signals from any PocketWizard transceiver or transmitter that has ever been made that use USA-based frequencies.
