The 28” Mola Setti soft light reflector has a unique shape that differs dramatically from the other Mola models. The Setti’s deep, narrow profile helps to increase contrast while delivering a directional quality which is perfect for images which require a noticeably distinct edge. With the Mola Setti, the flash head moves along the center axis of the reflector to create a variety of different light streams. This reflector’s design is unique in its ability to achieve a more directional source from stationary flash heads.
The unique design of Mola reflectors allows you to maximize efficiency of light. All light coming from the your strobe’s flashtube is captured and directed towards your subject, a much better solution than most softboxes, which focus only a portion of available light. The Mola's efficiency surpasses many other modified parabolic reflectors, and their specially-formulated coating helps them to produce light of exceptional clarity.
Mola reflectors reflect the natural shape of light, thus accentuating complexion highlights while allowing control over the intensity of specular highlights. Mola reflectors have a uniform light-feathering pattern, a feature unmatched by many softboxes. All Mola reflectors are made more flexible by using diffusion accessories to create different effects. By combining a front nylon diffuser with opal glass on the interior, light feathering is easily modified.
The Mola Perforated Aluminum Diffuser (PAD) allows light to be redirected from the flash tube back into the reflector, while allowing a small amount of light to pass through the perforations. Lightweight and unbreakable, the PAD allows air to pass through the diffuser for greater circulation. Opal Diffusion Glass is now an accessory.
The “Sympl” clip speed ring mounting system allows the Mola reflectors to accommodate a wide array of speed ring inserts. The Sympl clips create uniform compression, holding the speed ring firmly to the back of the Mola reflector. This system also makes for quick and easy changing of speed rings so you can change or mix strobe brands.
The Unified Swivel Handle combines a stand adapter and a hand grip and evenly distributes the weight of the reflector, for solid balancing and stabilizing over a light stand or boom. The Unified Swivel Handle makes it easy to adjust the reflectors' illumination angle, no matter how frequently adjustments must be made.
