This is an Alpa Rotocamera 6070, Pignon S.A.,Switzerland using 120/220 roll film. It can produce panoramas from a minimum of about 20 degrees to a full 360 degrees about its axis, by setting a control ring on the camera. A 360 degree shot takes almost 19 inches of film length.
The lens (supplied with lens cap) is a fixed 75mm f6.8 Rodenstock Grandagon which is mounted on the camera such that the lens aperture/entrance pupil is at the center of rotation. The position of the rotation of the center of the lens is critical to eliminate blurring of stationary objects due to the rotary motion of the camera. The lens can be shifted up or down, with the front lever and allows panoramas not only centered at the level horizon but also above and below it.
This is a USED camera. There are some minor marks/scuffs on the aluminum information plates. There are no known issues with it electrically or mechanically. And optically, the lens is clear and fungus free. However, due to its age, the original battery pack has long been inoperative and you would need to purchase one. Please note the wrapping around the cord is falling apart from age.
