Web Pricing - Why are the prices on this web site different from those in your stores?
Our stores are staffed with a wide variety of product specialists and support staff, each of whom make an effort to be responsive and pleasant to deal with. We're also able to provide a customer with any item from our inventory to inspect and test. The cost of this customer service is an increased overhead for our in-store prices, to pay for the store space, the training of our employees, and other considerations not present online. We're happy to offer reduced prices online and hope that you will be satisfied with your purchase no matter where you decide to buy.
The Ikelite Underwater Housing for Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 II Digital Camera is just-right-sized for carefree travel and a comfortable hold with or without a thick glove. All important camera functions are at your finger tips using a series of heavy duty, custom made mechanical controls. With a camera installed, the housing's buoyancy is near-neutral for comfortable handling and rock steady HD video.
Special polycarbonate blends allow us to create an extremely strong yet clear and lightweight enclosure. We believe there's no substitute for inspecting the actual o-ring seal once your housing is closed. Our 100% clear back lets you see that the housing is watertight and dry before you enter the water, and provides full view of the camera while you're diving. And did we mention that polycarbonate never bubbles or flakes and is fundamentally corrosion-resistant?
A flash or light makes all the difference. Expand your system by adding an AF35 AutoFlash strobe for spectacular still photos. The AF35 kit provides wireless TTL exposure and attaches with just two screws for easy assembly and break down for travel. Whenever you're ready, add a Gamma LED light, diffuser and AF35 mount to aid in focus and add a pop of color to your video.
An optional wide angle lens allows you to capture more of the scene by increasing your camera's native angle of coverage. The W-30 is specifically designed for digital cameras with 28mm focal length and wider, and provides improved permeability, clarity and brightness over similar external wide angle lenses. There's no need to limit yourself to wide angle for an entire dive, as the W-30 lens can be easily removed and replaced underwater. 67mm threaded close-up lenses also attach directly to the front of the port, no adapter needed. No vignetting is presend underwater when using the W-30 lens. Slight vignetting (shading in the corners) may be present when using other external wide angle lenses.
Like every Ikelite product, this housing for the Sony Cybershot RX100 II is 100% designed, built and tested in the USA. We use locally sourced, top-grade materials from trusted vendors we've been working with for decades. Our housings are built by hand and individually tested for fit, function and waterproof integrity. The average assembly technician is a certified scuba diver and has over 16 years of experience building Ikelite products. We back our products with over 50 years of experience and service within the dive industry.
Depth Rating: Can be used at a maximum depth of 200 feet
Controls: Provides access to all important camera functions via mechanical controls, which are conveniently placed at your fingertips. Handling is easy and comfortable with or without gloves
Construction: Made from durable, corrosion-resistant polycarbonate, which is clear, allowing you to monitor the o-ring seal and maintain a full view of the camera. Designed, built by hand, and tested in the USA
Buoyancy: Nearly neutral in fresh water
Lens Port: Built-in port accepts optional 67mm threaded wide-angle and macro lenses attached to its front. A wide-angle lens, such as the optional W-30, will increase your angle of coverage, allowing you to capture more of the scene. The W-30 is specifically designed for 28mm and wider lenses and can be easily removed and replaced underwater. No vignetting will be present when using this lens, but slight vignetting may occur with other external wide-angles. A macro lens will give you clarity in extreme close-up shots
Color Correction Filters: To restore colors that get absorbed underwater, you can use optional external color correction filters: 6441.41 for blue water and 6441.81 for green water. Both are designed for use without a strobe
TTL Flash Exposure Replication: The optional AF35 AutoFlash strobe features a flex arm and mounts onto the grip handle of an optional tray. The strobe is triggered by the firing of the camera's built-in flash and automatically varies its own power to replicate TTL exposure. The housing comes bundled with a flash diffuser to soften the light of the camera's built-in flash and a flash deflector to redirect it towards an external strobe
Mounting: Configured with 12-24 threads with 3 inches spacing for attaching an optional tray with release handle(s), which will provide improved stability and attachment points for lighting
Recommended Optional Accessories: In addition to the AF35 AutoFlash, wide-angle and macro lenses, color filters and tray, the Gamma LED light is recommended; lightweight (4 oz) and made of aluminum, it offers an output of over 220 lumens, a beam angle of 10 degrees and a burn time of 10 hr. The Gamma AF35 mount allows you to attach this light to the arm of the AF35 AutoFlash
