Web Pricing - Why are the prices on this web site different from those in your stores?
Our stores are staffed with a wide variety of product specialists and support staff, each of whom make an effort to be responsive and pleasant to deal with. We're also able to provide a customer with any item from our inventory to inspect and test. The cost of this customer service is an increased overhead for our in-store prices, to pay for the store space, the training of our employees, and other considerations not present online. We're happy to offer reduced prices online and hope that you will be satisfied with your purchase no matter where you decide to buy.
The EL Skyport RX Receiver works only with any Elinchrom RX monoblocs or packs and is designed to send and receive signals from the Skyport Transmitter and Skyport USB RX Transceiver. No battery is required as the unit gets its power from the device it's plugged into. To control the flash power, modeling lamp and flash synchronization; only the Skyport Transmitter is required. To control all RX Function, the latest EL Skyport software and Skyport USB Transceiver are required.
The EL Skyport software offers additional features, such as the power to watt second readings, programmable and reusable flash-settings, flash-delay, flash-counter and studio setup notes. Other control features will be added as future software upgrades.
Works only with RX flash heads and power packs
Can be controlled individually or as part of a work group
No battery necessary as power comes from the RX unit
Note: When using a Ranger RX with Skyport RX Receiver an EL 19374 Skyport Transceiver Adapter (see Accessories) is necessary. Starting in October of 2007 all new Ranger packs will include this adapter.
