Web Pricing - Why are the prices on this web site different from those in your stores?
Our stores are staffed with a wide variety of product specialists and support staff, each of whom make an effort to be responsive and pleasant to deal with. We're also able to provide a customer with any item from our inventory to inspect and test. The cost of this customer service is an increased overhead for our in-store prices, to pay for the store space, the training of our employees, and other considerations not present online. We're happy to offer reduced prices online and hope that you will be satisfied with your purchase no matter where you decide to buy.
The PocketWizard N-MCDC2-ACC-1 Pre-Trigger Remote 1ft. Cable is for connecting a PlusX, Plus III, FlexTT5 or MultiMAX with ACC port to a Nikon MC-DC2 remote terminal. Cable length is 3ft. (91.5 cm) maximum and 1ft. (30 cm) when coiled. It connects 1/8 In. (3.5 mm) stereo miniphone to Nikon MC-DC2 remote shutter release terminal.
This is a special remote motor drive cable called a Pre-Trigger Cable. A Pre-Trigger cable controls both the half-press and full-press function of your remote camera’s shutter release. When a camera is pre-triggered, it is like holding your camera’s shutter release button in the half-pressed or metering/focusing position.
The remote trigger cable is compatible with PlusX that uses this cable with the PlusX to trigger the camera, Plus III for exclusive 2-stage trigger to wake-up or focus your remote camera just like using the camera’s shutter release button and FlexTT5 relay mode with E-TTL, or other remote triggering with the FlexTT5. You can use P cable or standard cable with a FlexTT5, but your remote camera will not be able to relay an E-TTL signal to Speedlites. The FlexTT5 does not support the 2-stage trigger function.
MultiMAX with –ACC port to enable a remote zone with your hand-held MultiMAX, and your remote MultiMAX will wake up its remote camera with this cable. As long as the zone is turned on, the remote camera will stay awake and respond more quickly and consistently, but also consume the camera's batteries much more quickly. When the remote zone is disabled, the camera will enter its normal sleep modes. The MultiMAX does not support the 2-stage trigger function.
