The B+W 60 HSB Soft Image Filter for Hasselblad contours “flow” markedly softer with the Soft Image attachment on the lens than they do with the B+W Soft Pro. Prominent halos form around light sources and reflections, and bright parts of the subject acquire a noticeable veil of light. This effect is maintained even when the lens is stopped down. It is recommended for portraits and for backlit situations (however, it may be too soft for some landscapes).
This filter uses our HSB mount made of brass. Various lenses for Hasselblad cameras are equipped with bayonets for the attachment of filters and lens hoods. The advantage of a bayonet mount over threaded filters is quick attachment and removal. HSB 60 and HSB 70 are offered.
Uncoated glass is usually found with special effects filters and acrylic filters, where coating is either an impossibility or would work against the effect the filter is trying to attain.
