This Leica S2-P Kit is a Demo Unit that has not been opened or used.
LEICA S2-P: Developed exclusively for digital photography without any compromises. With the size and handling of a 35 mm camera, its performance and quality set new standards for medium-format photography. The complete Leica S-System was developed together with professional photographers with the goal of offering high quality pictures and effortless operation and handling.
The entire system is based on a totally new image sensor in Leica S-Format, 30 x 45 mm in size and the classic Leica aspect ration of 3 to 2. The large area and integrated design afford optimal picture quality. With 37.5 million pixels, cropping is never a problem, even for large-format prints.
The camera is the perfect instrument; the photographer can now focus on taking pictures rather than on the technology. The LEICA S2 components are the very best quality and finely tuned to one another, producing the perfect picture that is naturally sharp and does not require digital correction.
The S2-P differs from the S2 due to the addition of an abrasive- and scratch-resistant sapphire cover glass to protect its LCD monitor. Additionally, the SP-2 includes Leica's Platinum Service package which adds an additional 2 years of coverage against breakage or manufacturing defects beyond the included 1-year warranty. Should the camera need repair, customers have the right to a replacement unit free of charge within 24 hours and for the period of the repair. Plus, first time maintenance by Customer Service is free of charge, and this also includes the camera shutter and lens (including 1 shutter replacement).

- Dual Shutter System - The Focal plane shutter provides fast shutter speed capability of up to 1/4000 seconds while the central shutter incorporated into the lens system provides flash synchronization in any lighting mode - making the camera a superb studio imaging system.
- MAESTRO Image Processor - The exclusive MAESTRO Image Processor uses dual processor chips to provide fast operation & shooting speeds, along with high ISO with negligible noise and a superb set of powerful shooting modes
- High Resolution 3.0" LCD Display - The 3.0" LCD display on the back of the S2 has over 460,00 pixels for sharp and detailed images- making focus and composition confirmation easier than on most Digital SLR cameras and the LCD screen allows users to view images and data from wide viewing angle.

- Dual Memory Card Slots - The Leica S2 has dual memory card slots - one is for CompactFlash Cards and the other is for Secure Digital (SD/SDHC) cards. This allows users to select between the two most popular memory card formats and take advantage of the unique features of both systems.
120mm f/2.5 APO Macro Summarit-S Lens: The Leica APO-Macro-Summarit-S 120mm f/2.5 Lens is a superior-quality close-up lens with a reproduction scale of 1:2 and a high-speed telephoto. This reference-class lens, with special grades of glass and aspherical surfaces, displays consistently high image performance utilizing an inner focusing system with a floating element.
This lens is suited for many applications due to its superb close-up and telephoto capabilities. It displays maximum performance even at full aperture settings. Vignetting, distortion and chromatic aberrations have been minimized to such a high degree that the need for quality-degrading image corrections and simplifying digital post-processing is substantially reduced.
Multi Function Handgrip: The Leica Multi Function Handgrip S adds a second battery, which allows you to shoot longer without having to stop to swap batteries. A quick-slide mechanism allows fast and easy mounting/dismounting using only one hand. Shoot your S2 more comfortably in vertical orientation.
