I spent 18 years shooting for a living, and I've owned some seriously nice hardware along the way including a pair of a Canon F1s and a couple of Leica M6s, two Hassleblad, a Rolei, a Sinar, plus Zeiss, Schneider, and a couple of large white lenses, etc., so I know the good stuff when I see it, so believe me when I say that the Fujifilm X20 is one amazing bit of kit. The image quality is top shelf, and focusing is fast and accurate. Fuji's film simulations are very well exicuted and add a truly unique and pleasing tonality that you will not get from Canon, Nikon, or anyone else. The camera feels substantial, not heavy at all, but it feels as if it was designed and built to work flawlessly for many years. It feels good in your hand; quality in every way - not cheep like the plastic wonders now kicked out by the big manufacturers. If you're not hung up on pixel count, ISO range, and other marketing hype, and are looking for a camera that simply makes wonderful pictures, then look no further.
