The G-Technology 3TB 3.5 in. Deskstar Spare Hard Drive for G-safe - Open Box*, with SATA 6 Gb/s interface, 64 MB cache, and 7200 RPM rotational speed, offers a complete storage solution for PC gaming and external storage applications. 

Featured Thermal Fly-height Control (TFC) technology reduces the clearance between the read/write elements of the slider and the disk surface to increase the recording density of hard disk drives. The head load/unload function protects the disk during idle state. 

The S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring Analysis and Reporting Technology) detects and reports hard drive failure. In addition, the HiVERT (Hitachi Voltage Efficiency Regulator Technology) technology combines with Enhanced ABLE (Enhanced Adaptive Battery Life Extender) to reduce power consumed by the hard drive. 

With halogen free design and power saving operation, the hard drive qualifies for the EcoTrac classification that reduces environmental impact in the areas of product design, manufacturing, operation and disposal.
