The technical specifications and excellent optical performance of these binoculars is identical to that of the standard Ultravid compact binoculars but the Leica 10x25 Ultravid Ostrich Leather Special Edition Binoculars truly stand out thanks to their special leather trim.
Their handcrafted protective trim in chestnut-brown, natural calfskin with ostrich-pattern embossing, lends them particularly refined and eye-catching look. At concerts or the opera, the racecourse, regattas or simply for travelling, the owners of these special models can enjoy carrying a particularly elegant accessory and are perfectly equipped for all viewing situations.
The binoculars of the Leica Ultravid 8x20 and 10x25 Special Edition are a strictly limited edition with only 750 available worldwide and they are scheduled to be available from authorised Leica dealers from October 2012.
The Special Edition also features a matching color-coordinated leather case with a carrying strap.
Roof Prism - Dual Bridge: Sleek profile, folds up easily, creates a pocketable footprint
Internal Focus: Via central focus knob; maintains constant length when focusing
Multicoated Optics: Lenses feature HDC multicoating for optimum clarity, color and contrast
P40 Phase Correction: Eliminates roof prism phase-shift to deliver high-contrast, superbly defined images
Water and Fogproof: Nitrogen filled housing: guards against internal fogging with sudden temperature changes
HighLux-System: A highly reflective mirror coating on the prism surfaces combined with an optimized interior surface design - this minimizes stray light while increasing light-throughput for crisp high-contrast images
