The Cine Reflector is the world’s first combined PAR and Open Face type reflector. It works with all Profoto flash heads and continuous light sources and provides unparalleled creative control.

More and more photographers are required to shoot video. But it is not just a requirement; it is also an opportunity since they can make use of their existing knowledge of light shaping in a brand new setting. In a response to this, Profoto has created its most versatile Light Shaping Tool to date: The Cine Reflector.

The Profoto Cine Reflector Basic Kit is a hybrid Light Shaping Tool. It works with both flash lights and continuous lights. The Cine Reflector is also the world’s first modular reflector, which means that it fuses the movie industry’s popular PAR (parabolic) reflector with the classic Profoto Zoom reflector. In addition, five different types of lenses (including a Fresnel) provide an array of light shaping possibilities. This, combined with scrims, color filters and barn doors, offers photographers, DPs and gaffers unparalleled artistic freedom.

The built-in PAR reflector increases the light output by 1 f-stop. It can be used as it is, or in combination with the PAR lenses to adjust the beam spread. Use it to shoot HD videos or to create movie light effects.

The included Zoom reflector is a textured Open Face type reflector, which provides a crisp, even light. The beam angle can easily be adjusted in the range of 35-105° without the need for lenses, thanks to Profoto’s renowned Zoom function. Use it to shape your flash light with precision.

The Cine Reflector is an integrated part of Profoto’s comprehensive Light Shaping System. It works with all existing Profoto flash heads and continuous light sources. It is also equipped with a double layer housing to protect users from burns and to increase robustness. The housing provides an umbrella attachment, and a metal bracket is included for overhead mounting.

In summary, the unique Cine Reflector allows you to instantly transform your photo set into a video set. Use the reflectors individually or combine them with each other. Experiment with the different lenses, scrims and filters. There are hundreds of different combinations to explore, and the creative possibilities are just about endless.
