Understanding your Digital Camera with Art Ramirez

Samy’s Camera is proud to host this event.

Description:

This is a basic class for individuals who own a point-and-shoot or Digital SLR camera and wish to learn more about navigating through all those confusing camera modes.

We will discuss the very basic operation of Digital cameras, such as setting your camera’s resolution, basic flash operation, basic menu functions, memory cards, storage and more.

This class is not specific to any particular camera manufacturer, so whether you purchased the camera for yourself, or received it as a gift, this is the class to get all of your questions answered!

Class duration is two and half hours, with time for questions.

Art Ramirez has more than 32 years photographic experienced in the fast-paced environments of newspaper publishing, wedding photography, pro labs, production labs, one-hour photo labs and retail photo stores.

After majoring in photography in college, he began his career as a news photographer. Art worked his way up the ranks, starting as a part-time photographer, to chief photographer and photo editor for 27 Scripps- Howard community newspapers.

He photographed weddings before looking towards Hollywood and the movie industry, where he specialized in custom printing black & white and color images for the industry. Mr. Ramirez quickly moved from sales associate to manager of Wolf /Ritz Camera, where he realized he had particular skills for training both employees and new camera owners on the fundamentals of camera operation and photography.

In addition to his classes for Samy’s Camera Fairfax location, you can find Art at Samy’s Santa Ana location as the custom Photoshop re-toucher, digital lab technician, as well as the store’s Photoshop and photography instructor.

Art Ramirez resides with his wife Adrienne in Lake Forest, where they have been for over 20 years, and he is pleased to share his photographic knowledge with everyone.

Registration
Pre-registration is required for this class or workshop. Please call 323-938-2420 and speak to the receptionist for registration. (Online registration is not available at this time.) You will receive an email confirmation within the week before the class. Please call or email us at edu@samys.com if you have any questions regarding this class.

Refunds & Cancellations
Enrollment is limited, therefore your commitment is important to us. If you must withdraw from a workshop, we provide this refund policy: A $25 administrative fee will be charged on all cancellations. If you cancel 24-72 hours prior to the start of the workshop, we will retain 50% of the total workshop fee, unless we are able to fill your spot. If you cancel 24 hours or less prior to the start date of the workshop, we will retain 100% of the workshop fee unless we are able to fill your spot. No refunds are given once the workshop begins.

If you miss 1 - 2 classes of a workshop, you may sit in on those missed classes during the next session as long as space permits.

On occasion we may cancel a class because of low enrollment and/or unforeseen professional conflict on the part of the instructor. Should this be the case, al monies will be refunded in full. We do not take responsibility for non-refundable airline tickets, so please buy a refundable ticket if you are coming from outside of Los Angeles.
