Pro Lighting Fundamentals with George Simian
Great images are made with great light. In this course, you’ll learn how to create and control light – the key to executing your vision and making an exceptional photograph!
This is a hands on three-week course at Smashbox Studios.
You will learn the qualities of and how to work with, artificial and natural light while using the industry’s most popular and up to date pro lighting equipment. Every student will be able to assist setting up the lights, and practice photographing each other in order to understand the impact of light in each situation. As this course will familiarize you with the use of professional strobe lighting, modifiers, reflectors, meters, radio transmitters (pocket wizards), custom white balance, as well as continuous light sources.
If you are interested in building your own lighting kit, this course is the place to start! We will help you outfit your kit with the professional tools that are right for you.
Please bring your cameras to each class. Requires the use of a Digital SLR, mastery of manual controls, and a good workflow for your digital images.
