Strobe flash heads are used to produce intense, short-duration light. They can be adjusted for power output, flash duration, and color temperature, allowing photographers to better freeze motion and capture sharp images. Each type of flash head comes with its own unique features including ring flashes and lampheads. Ring flashes provide smooth, evenly spread light, fitting around the lens of your camera to produce beautiful light without any harshness. Lampheads are high-powered flash heads that use external power systems for greater output compared to monolights, which feature built-in power supply units.

Produce brilliant lighting and eliminate shadows with strobe flash heads from trusted brands, including Profoto, Elinchrom, Broncolor, and Westcott. With advanced features such as high-speed sync, wireless control, and TTL metering, these strobe heads are known for the exceptional performance that photographers of all levels have come to rely on for print-worthy photographs.

Should I Use a Flash Head for Headshots?

Flash heads can be useful for shooting headshots because they can provide flattering lighting to your subject and eliminate shadows. However, it's important to use the flash head along with other lighting and light-shaping tools, to achieve the best results. It's also important to consider the preferences of your subject, as well as the shooting environment before choosing a strobe head that could be too powerful or not powerful enough.

What Is the Difference Between a Ring Flash and Ring Light?

Ring flashes are strobe flash heads that fit around the lens and spread light evenly over the subject when the flash fires. Ring lights, on the other hand, provide continuous lighting for photography and videography.
