Prime 22 Camera Stabilizer Support System

The Camtrol Prime 22 is a hand-held camera rig that allows you to capture ground level and overhead shots with large DV / DSLR cameras having free angle LCD displays and with combined camera/lenses weighing up to 7 lb (3.17 kg). It consists of an ergonomic grip, an adjustable stabilizing platform and a 5.25" (13.3 cm) vertical stabilizing bar.

While the centering channels allows you to find and adjust the camera's center of gravity for stable shooting, the Channeled Mounting Plate (CMP) enables secure attachment of cameras to the Camtrol Prime 22 and provides anti-slip / anti-vibration protection. In addition, the CMP has retractable legs that protect the mounted camera from impacts and scratches.

The CMP is attached to the camera with the help of a 1/4" mounting thumb screw. The 1/4" thread at the bottom of the thumb screw is compatible with quick release plates, monopods, or tripods, and allows the operator to easily switch between free shooting and static shots.

Quad pod retractable landing legs (QPRL) of the Camtrol Prime 22 allow you to customize the camera setup for different camera applications. Using the legs, you can configure the Camtrol Prime 22 to be used as a safe and stable editing and dubbing platform as well as a self imaging video trainer

Adjustable ball joints with locking mechanism and vertical stabilizer bar allows you to customize the Camtrol 22 for desired shooting conditions. By manually changing the configuration, you can capture ground level shots, overhead shots, and around-objects shots without even bending.

As you can operate the Camtrol Prime 22 rig with a single hand, you can conveniently operate the camera via a remote controller with the other hand. Thanks to a multi-faceted mechanism, the Camtrol Prime 22 also supports iPad and 2-camera operation.

You can attach the Camtroller and V-slope bracket to the action control grip via the Receiver Post for Remote and Accessories (RP/RA). Running the wires through the hollow grip, you can plug the wires into a LANC port or a digital L line. The RP/RA can also be used with an accessory shoe adapter to connect light panels and microphones.

A secure grip allows you to safely hold the camera and capture steady floating and dramatic moving shots. It works for both right and left handed operators. The Camtrol Prime 22 has a sturdy aluminum construction with an anodized finish. The New D Focus System Follow Focus Kit with D Gear (v4) is the next evolution in the affordable follow focus design from D|Focus Systems. We’ve made several changes that improve on the durability, reliability and aesthetics of the V3, while still maintaining the small footprint and affordable cost.

The V4 has the same, “open gearbox” design as the previous models, but is improved thanks to our new, custom manufactured “hybrid” gears. These gears offer the same damped, low backlash, smooth feel of the V3 but with the durability of metal gears!

The New Dot Line Corp. Follow Focus w/Ring is the next evolution in the affordable follow focus design from D|Focus Systems. We've made several changes that improve on the durability, reliability and aesthetics of the V3, while still maintaining the small footprint and affordable cost.

The V4 has the same, "open gearbox" design as the previous models, but is improved thanks to our new, custom manufactured "hybrid" gears. These gears offer the same damped, low backlash, smooth feel of the V3 but with the durability of metal gears!

Hurricane 3D Camera Rig

The Genus Hurricane 3D Rig was designed from the outset to be a cost effective, entry level 3D Mirror rig. Mirror Rigs are the most versatile type of stereoscopic 3D camera rigs currently available. They can be used in an extremely broad range of 3D applications. However traditionally they have been very expensive devices only made in small volumes or to special order.

The Hurricane Rig, through clever design and large scale production will make high quality 3D accessible to video enthusiasts, owner operators and others that would have previously found the cost of a Mirror Rig prohibitive (a typical professional 3D mirror rig will cost in excess of $40,000USD). In order to keep costs down the rig does not feature the electronic controls often found on high end 3D rigs. Instead the rig has simple, easy to use manual control of camera alignment and camera adjustment. The use of manual controls makes the rig particularly well suited to educational users, training establishments and experimenters as they are simple to operate and easy to understand.

The Hurricane Rig adjusts to suit a broad range of cameras, from small consumer style camcorders through to video equipped DSLR's up to entry level professional video camcorders such as Sony's XDCAM EX product range. Typical camera pairs would be a pair of Canon XF105's, Canon 5D MKII's or Sony XDCAM EX3's. The maximum payload is 12 lbs. per camera.

The basic bracket comes with a 10” long open channel arm that accepts standard accessory foot adapters. Included are a 1/4-20 locking male post and a locking shoe. These may be placed anywhere along the arm. The Zacuto Target Shooter Camera Rig for the Canon C100/300/500 is our simplest rig. It is designed for lightweight run’n’gun shooting stabilization. The Zacuto Recoil Lite Rig is a stripped down version of our larger, standard Recoil kit. The Recoil Lite is compatible with the Canon C300/100/500, RED Scarlet and Epic cameras. In this Recoil concept, the camera sits directly on your shoulder like a typical ENG Camera. The Recoil Lite starts with our Gorilla Baseplate, which attaches to the camera with 3/8 In. 16 and ¼ In. 20 screws*. The Gorilla Baseplate features 15mm diameter, 60mm spaced threaded rod holes in the front of the plate that allow users to mount a follow focus, lens support or other accessories in front of the camera. The Gorilla Baseplate is not compatible for matte box use unless you have a height adjustable matte box**.

Unique to the Recoil Lite (and Recoil) is the use of the Zacuto Q-Release in mounting our Shoulder Pad. The Q-release allows you to mount the shoulder pad directly underneath the camera and then quick release the shoulder pad from the rig by flipping the two levers on the side. It attaches to the camera with 3/8 In. 16 and ¼ In. 20 screws*. There are 12 In. lightweight spaced 15mm threaded rods running through the Studio Baseplate.

These can be extended to hold additional accessories at the front or back of the kit. The can slide back and forth through the plate to accommodate different lens lengths by loosening the two levers on the side of the plate. The Studio Baseplate also features lightweight spaced rod holes on either side of the plate. They accept a female rod end (or Zacuto Zamerican Articulating Arm ) and tighten with an Allen. When sitting on a tripod, you can mount a Zwiss Plate from the rod ports on the side of the baseplate (via two short female/female rods, not included) for better balance.

The Zacuto Stinger In-Line Shoulder Mounted Rig C300 system best used on long shooting days. It is a balanced shoulder mounted rig. It features our C300 Studio Baseplate which attaches to the camera with 3/8 In. 16 and ¼ In. 20 screws*. This baseplate features a pair of 15mm rods that are 12 In. long running through the length of the baseplate. You can quickly reposition the rods for various lens lengths by loosening the 2 levers, one on each side of the baseplate. On each side of the baseplate there is a set of 15mm lightweight holes. The side holes take 15mm female rods that are locked via an Allen screw.

You can add an arm, a rod or an EVF Mount. Or you could add two short female/female rods and mount a Zwiss Plate with professional batteries off of the side when shooting on a tripod for better balance. The baseplate has standard ¼ In. 20 and 3/8 In. 16 holes on the bottom for mounting the rig onto a tripod. The Bolt Action is Zacuto's simplest in-line dual handgrip shoulder mounted system for DSLRs. It utilizes our height-adjustable DSLR Baseplate with a set of 3.5” rods which allows you to mount any DSLR with or without battery grips. Your tripod plate can attach directly to the bottom of the DSLR Baseplate using the standard tripod screws, (2) ¼ 20” and (1) 3/8 16”. Turning the red knob on the baseplate allows you to quick release your camera right off of the rig. Our dual handgrip system, the Zgrips V3, makes your long shooting days a breeze. The Scorpion rig is the ultimate solution to DSLR shoulder mounted shooting with an EVF. At the center of the Scorpion is our highly adjustable DSLR Baseplate, which allows you to mount any DSLR to the rig and mount your rig onto a tripod. The baseplate attaches to your tripod using the standard tripod plate screws; (2) 1/4” 20 and (1) 3/8” 16. You can also easily quick release your camera from the rig by turning the red knob on the side of the baseplate and pulling up on your camera. This unique feature allows you to quickly switch between using the camera on its own or as part of your rig.

Our new curved form-fitting Akton Polymer shoulder pad connects to the back of the baseplate via two 2” M/F rods. The rods screw into the back of the DSLR baseplate and connect to the front of the shoulder pad via 15mm quick release ports, making the switch from shoulder mount to tripod use quick and easy. The Scorpion Shoulder Assembly also features an innovative ball joint built into the front of the shoulder pad. This allows the entire shoulder pad assembly to articulate in multiple directions so shooters can angle it to fit their body for individual comfort. This should be done with one hand while the kit is on your shoulder. The ball joint is released and secured by the red top lever.

The Scorpion can be used on your left or right shoulder. The Scorpion shoulder assembly also has a built in top handle for placing and removing it from your shoulder, low mode shooting and easy carrying. The handle can be positioned up or set down into the shoulder pad for storage with the turn of a Zacuto quick release lever.
