The L-308DC is the perfect light meter for today's DSLR and digital cinematographers. It features a full range of shutter speeds, including special cine speeds, frame rates and special group of most used shutter angles. The LCD readout can be customized to display only specific functions needed for the task at hand for fast, easy operation.
Nothing could be simpler. Set the ISO and take shutter-priority or frame-rate priority readings for aperture display from f/0.5 to f/90.9 with 1/10-stop accuracy. Hold the measuring button for continuous readings. Change shutter speed, frame rate or ISO settings after the measurement and the meter will automatically compensate the aperture setting to maintain proper exposure. Snap on the included Lumidisc to set lighting on green screens, adjust ratios and take lux and foot-candle measurements.
Shutter-priority readings of flash light can be made with a synch cord or cordlessly at shutter speeds from 1 second to 1/500th second. Measurements include total amount of light, both flash and ambient, for the speed set for the best exposure. The L-308DC automatically resets after each reading in cordless mode to enable fast adjustment of flash brightness
The brightness of continuous light sources can be displayed in LUX (lx) or Foot candle (FC). Illuminance measurement is especially useful for cinematography, videography, theatrical and other applications that require precise control of light source brightness.
Calibration compensation can be used to tune the L-308DC to film or digital camera sensors or matching the L-308DC to other handheld meters.

The Sekonic L-758DR DigitalMaster is simply the most dynamic light meter you will ever own. It can record incident or 1-degree spot-readings under ambient and/or strobe lighting down to a tenth-stop in accuracy, and it's sealed against the nastiest of weather. With the included Sekonic RT-32 Radio Transmitter Module and you can wirelessly trigger PocketWizard-enabled flash systems within a 100' range. But that's not what makes the Sekonic L-758DR DigitalMaster different from any other meter you have owned. What moves the L-758DR DigitalMaster to the head of the class is that it is the only meter that can be calibrated to read light the way the sensor in your particular camera reads light.

FEATURES:

Profiles the specific sensitivity levels of your camera's imaging sensor for exacting light readings.
Exposures accurate down to a tenth-of-a-stop in full-stop mode for both ambient and electronic flash light readings with a repeat accuracy of +/- 0.1 EV. Meter can also display shutter-speeds and apertures in half or third-stop increments to mirror the exposure settings on your camera. Flash exposures can be recorded cumulatively or non-cumulatively.
Built-in 1-degree spot meter features an adjustable diopter (-2.5 to 1.0d), and is threaded for 30.5mm filters and/or lens hood (a tethered lens cap is included). Large red LED characters display exposure data within the viewfinder allowing for real-time exposure referencing while maintaining continuous eye contact with your subject.
The L-758DR's head swivels 270-degrees allowing you to ‘walk the set' while maintaining constant visual contact with the meter's LCD display. Flash exposures can be taken with or without a tethered PC cord.
Up to 9 readings can be stored for meter averaging and contrast evaluations in aperture and shutter priority modes.
Mid-tone button allows you to shift the highlights or shadows to within the dynamic range of the profiled exposure reading. Warning flashes for out of range readings.
Incident readings of three-dimensional objects are taken using the Lumisphere, which can be retracted for selective, narrower-field readings such as contrast ratio for flash lighting or for flat-field objects such as artwork.
For mixed lighting scenarios, the Sekonic L-758DR DigitalMaster displays the combined exposure values of both flash and ambient light sources, including the percentage of flash in total exposure in 10-percent increments.
Dual ISO buttons allow for quick exposure referencing when working with two differing film speeds, film and Polaroids, or other shooting scenarios involving dual ISO ratings.
An indigo, backlit LCD screen with large text and icons allows for easy referencing when ambient light levels drop below EV 6.
For wireless metering – including Selective Quad Triggering - the included Sekonic RT-32 Radio Transmitter Module will wirelessly trigger PocketWizard-enabled flash systems within a 100' range from a choice of 32 channels.
