The 22” Mola Demi soft light reflector is a scaled-down version of the Mola Euro reflector in every respect. The Demi’s size makes it possible to bring on location, and it’s right at home in the studio as either a main or fill light in creating portrait or beauty shots. The Mola Demi creates a light with an even core surrounded by a smoothly-graduated feathered edge, with only a half stop difference from center to outer edge.

The unique design of Mola reflectors allows you to maximize efficiency of light. All light coming from the your strobe’s flashtube is captured and directed towards your subject, a much better solution than most softboxes, which focus only a portion of available light. The Mola's efficiency surpasses many other modified parabolic reflectors, and their specially-formulated coating helps them to produce light of exceptional clarity.

Mola reflectors reflect the natural shape of light, thus accentuating complexion highlights while allowing control over the intensity of specular highlights. Mola reflectors have a uniform light-feathering pattern, a feature unmatched by many softboxes. All Mola reflectors are made more flexible by using diffusion accessories to create different effects. By combining a front nylon diffuser with opal glass on the interior, light feathering is easily modified.

The Mola Perforated Aluminum Diffuser (PAD) allows light to be redirected from the flash tube back into the reflector, while allowing a small amount of light to pass through the perforations. Lightweight and unbreakable, the PAD allows air to pass through the diffuser for greater circulation. Opal Diffusion Glass is now an accessory.

The “Sympl” clip speed ring mounting system allows the Mola reflectors to accommodate a wide array of speed ring inserts. The Sympl clips create uniform compression, holding the speed ring firmly to the back of the Mola reflector. This system also makes for quick and easy changing of speed rings so you can change or mix strobe brands.

The Unified Swivel Handle combines a stand adapter and a hand grip and evenly distributes the weight of the reflector, for solid balancing and stabilizing over a light stand or boom. The Unified Swivel Handle makes it easy to adjust the reflectors' illumination angle, no matter how frequently adjustments must be made.

The Mola Demi Ag 22 in. Softlight Reflector - Silver is a scaled down version of the Euro in every respect. The Demi silver delivers the same exceptional light as our white interior. We have increased the output by one stop over our previous satin silver surface.

This added edge gives you more output and a closer match to sunlight when mixing daylight and strobe. The sharper light quality and heighten contrast makes the Demi silver an even more versatile tool than its satin silver predecessor.

LIGHT OUTPUT – The Mola’s efficiency is equal to or better than other modified parabolic reflectors, and thanks to a specially formulated reflector coating, Mola reflectors produce light of exceptional clarity. In use, Mola reflectors provide a slight warming effect to light. Internal and external diffusers are used to modify light temperature and dampen UV light output. LIGHT DISTRIBUTION – The Mola’s light feathering pattern is the same whether you move to the top, bottom or either side of the center axis. Box lights, with their combination of curved and straight sides, are unable to achieve this balance.
