I have shot with a 6x4.5 cm film camera years ago and had to give it up because of cost to operate. The 35mm dx format doesn't come close to the punch of the medium format; that is until I received my D-800 fx format camera. The punch is back, and in a digital format. If you want the quality of a medium format camera, this is the one to get. I would expect that the Hasselbad does take a better picture than the D-800 , but the Hasselbad H4D-200MS body alone is $36K, hardly somethig that I could afford. This cameraa has brought back the luster of photography that I experienced years ago.

I have only had the camera a few weeks and find it takes pictures better than I expected. I have a D3 and it is far superior to that camera.
